Lilley Will Be Back

Chris Lilley has confirmed that he’ll be back for a third ABC TV project and it’s likely to include one of his famous characters from Summer Heights High, although he hasn’t made up his mind which one yet.

“I really like the idea of bringing characters back, like I did with (Ja’mie) from the previous series ( We Can Be Heroes ),” he told News.com.au. “I’d love to bring them back because it’s really sad when you have to leave them behind.”

He couldn’t commit to having a favourite, saying that he’s fond of them all. He’s also thrilled that the series has been sold to British and American networks.

“As soon as it screened here [BBC and HBO] were interested so it was something I was trying to sort out for a while… I’m just glad that they are playing it in its original form and people over there can see it the way it was supposed to be.”

That’s good news – given that Kath And Kim’s sale to US TV will see it be completely butchered.
