Episode Eight
The Age

School's almost out and there are plenty of surprises before the final bell sounds on this series.

Busted again for talking in class, Jonah is hauled in to meet the principal. Despite his protests, his second chances may have run out. Ja'mie is in danger of flying solo at the Year 11 formal after her date doesn't return her text messages. Meanwhile, Mr G has recovered sufficiently from his latest hissy fit to come back to the school as a freelancer, overseeing the opening night of Mr G: The Musical.

For all the controversy surrounding this series, creator and star Chris Lilley has managed to sculpt uncannily familiar characters who are likeable despite their egotism and tactlessness. Lilley's knack for mimicry is sublime. He doesn't look half bad in a girls' school uniform either. Tonight's series finale leaves you wanting more and is guaranteed to have you singing "She's a naughty girl with a bad habit" long after the closing credits roll.
